How can I book an apartment at Haus Schön?
The easiest way is to book online directly via our website under the navigation-point "ONLINE BOOKING". You are also very welcome to send an inquiry to info@haus-schoen.at. We try to answer your e-mail as soon as possible. Or contact us by phone 0043 664 9659278 to make a reservation.
How long can I cancel free of charge?
What are the cancellation policies at Haus Schön?
In the event of a booking, the following conditions apply:
Cancellation by one of the contractual partners – The accommodation contract can be canceled by the contractual partner no later than 3 months before the agreed arrival date of the guest without payment of a cancellation fee. Outside of this specified period, a unilateral declaration by the contractual partner is only possible with the payment of the following cancellation fees:
Up to 90 days before arrival - Free cancellation
89 days to 30 days before arrival - 40% of the total price
29 days to 7 days before arrival - 70% of the total price
from 6 days before arrival - 90% of the total price
In case of no-show and no announcement - 100% of the total price
Do I have to pay a deposit to ensure the booking?
No, the payment on site on the day of arrival is sufficient for direct bookings via our website, e-mail or telephone. However, if you have booked through a portal such as booking.com, airBnb, or similar platforms, the conditions of the platform apply.
What discounts and children discounts are offered at Haus Schön?
Children up to 3 years of age 100%. Discounts for every third, fourth or fifth person and groups are possible.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Is there a late check out?
Check out by 10 a.m. | Check in from 2 p.m
If our availability allows it, you can get a late check-out for a small extra-charge.
Can I have my suitcases stored if I want to arrive early or leave late?
Yes, we offer luggage storage.
Is there available parking? Is it free?
We have enough parking spaces and these are free of charge for our guests.
Is there internet in Haus Schön and how much does it cost?
Our house has free WiFi throughout the whole house.
Is smoking allowed? Is there a smoking area?
We are a non-smoking house. Smoking is allowed outside.
Are dogs or other pets allowed in the house?
No, pets are not allowed in our house.
Do you offer to rent e-bikes?
We are happy to help you find a rental shop.
There are several sport-shops in the village and in Pitztal valley.
Are there e-charging stations for e-cars?
We are happy to help to find charging stations for your car during your stay.
Do we offer breakfast?
Bread roll service is optional and can be ordered online when making a reservation a few days in advance or during your stay.
Does the house have a common room or lounge?
Our house offers a parlor with a tiled fireplace. A get-together up to 30 people is possible.
How can I pay for my stay at Haus Schön?
Our payment options:
- Total amount on site in cash or
- Total amount via bank transfer to account
(Payment must be received before departure and we do not accept any bank charges or exchange rate costs)
Detailed information about the bank account will follow when making a reservation.
Consumed products (e.g. bread rolls) can be paid in cash on site up to the day of departure.
What means of transport do I use to get to Pitztal,
to the village Schön and Haus Schön?
Arrival: Toll-free via the Fernpass - no problem even in winter, or via the A12 (highway) motorway exit Imst-Pitztal,
from Imst 12 km on the valley road to the valley of Schön.

What equipment does each apartment in Haus Schön have?
Each apartment has

Each person receives a set of towels (1 large & 1 small towel)

Key handover on arrival - what should be considered?
When you arrive at Haus Schön, you will receive your key to the apartment personally between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. If you arrive in Pitztal at a different time - no problem we will find an individual approach.
How far away are restaurants and supermarkets?
In the Pitztal you will find a large selection of homemade Tyrolean delicacies.
Also pizzas, vegetarian dishes and many other popular specialties

How often are the apartments cleaned?
There is a final cleaning after your departure.
If you stay longer than 1 week, 1x a week on request.
Baby on Board: Are the apartments equipped for children or babies?
High chair and cot can stay at home, we will prepare everything for you and your children in our apartments.

In our district capital Imst there are shopping centers (FMZ Imst) and several shopping facilities. In about 15 minutes by car or about 30 minutes by bus you are in Imst.

What are the house rules at Haus Schön?
Dear guests,
We warmly welcome you to our house and would like to familiarize you with our house rules. Please take the time to read through the points below.
1. Every guest is obliged to submit their stay with an ID (identity card) or passport for registration. The documents will be returned on the day of departure.
2. You can move in in your booked apartment from 2 p.m.
3. Bread roll service is possible, please book/order online here BEFORE 6:00 p.m. the day before.
There are no fresh rolls on Sundays and public holidays.
4. Since we have an old house, the following applies: ventilate at least twice a day for about 5-10 minutes. With this you help us to preserve our house.
5. We ask you to be considerate of our other guests in our house and to avoid noise and other disturbances, especially after 10 p.m. Please also behave quietly in the corridors and on the stairwells.
6. We ask you to report any requests, comments, criticism or damage to us.
7. Pets are not allowed.
8. Open fires, smoking and lighting candles are not permitted in our apartments and public areas such as the living room, corridor, shared toilet and ski storage/bike cellar.
9. For reasons of hygiene and safety, it is not allowed to prepare hot food and hot drinks in the sleeping-rooms. Please use the provided kitchen and dining table.
10. We ask that you report any items found or lost.
11. Please use the room provided for your ski boots and skis, bike or bicycle and do not take your ski boots/hiking boots/bike shoes into the apartment.
12. During your stay in our house, we ask you to behave in an environmentally friendly manner, especially when dealing with water and electricity.
13. People who are not guests of the house are not allowed to enter the apartments. Visitors are welcomed in the public rooms such as the parlour, garden or terrace, but not in the apartments.
14. We must point out that any damage caused by you must be compensated and you will be billed for it. Compensation payments are to be made immediately and in cash. Theft and intentional damage to property will be reported to the police immediately.
15. In the event of a later arrival or earlier departure of the booking that has been reserved in advance and confirmed by the hotel, the following provisions regarding cancellation apply. Outside of the specified period, withdrawal by unilateral declaration by the contractual partner is only possible if the following cancellation fees are paid:
Up to 90 days before arrival - Free cancellation
89 days to 30 days before arrival - 40% of the total price
29 days to 7 days before arrival - 70% of the total price
from 6 days before arrival - 90% of the total price
In case of no-show and no announcement - 100% of the total price
16. We ask that you move out from the apartment by 10:00 a.m. at the latest on the day of departure.
A later check-out will be recalculated with an extra fee.
17. Settlement and payment takes place on the day of arrival of your stay.
The consumed products can be paid for separately if desired.
18. When leaving the house, please lock the apartment.
19. We reserve the right to terminate the existing accommodation contract if you disregard the house rules and your behavior causes damage to our house or to other guests. In the event of a violation of one or more of the above we are entitled to terminate the accommodation contract without notice at any time. The obligation of the guest to pay for the booked overnight stays remains.
